Robert Atherton was the Hon Accompanist for our first ever show, Cupid and the Ogre, in 1930.
He was then Musical Director continously from 1954 to 1986 and Musical Advisor from 1987 to 1998.
He had a long and varied musical career in Lancashire, especially in the Fylde area, and was MD of the Blackpool Symphony Orchestra, from whom we still invite many of our own orchestral players.
